Sedation Dentistry

Let Dr. Cannon treat your dental needs and your anxiety with sedation dentistry!

Are you one of millions of Americans who feels nervous when faced with going to the dentist? It’s a very common fear, and we understand this. If you’re anxious about attending regularly scheduled dental appointments, sedation dentistry could be the answer for you! Dr. Cannon uses sedation dentistry measures to help his Fort Worth patients brave their fears and receive the dental procedures they need. Please call us today to schedule your visit, and don’t forget to request sedation dentistry to calm your nerves.

One of our most convenient forms of sedation dentistry is nitrous oxide. Also commonly referred to as laughing gas, it was one of the first sedation dentistry methods used in the field! Since its conception in the mid-1800s, the technique for using nitrous oxide as a form of sedation dentistry has been available, refined, and utilized in almost every dental office across the country. Dr. Cannon will fit your nose with a small mask, which you’ll use to inhale the gas. Because the mask is fitted over your nose, your mouth will be left free for Dr. Cannon’s dental exam and treatment. This sedation dentistry option produces an elated feeling when breathed in, allowing your anxiety to melt away. Some of our sedation dentistry patients even report feeling warm and tingly when using nitrous oxide! Generally, this form of sedation dentistry does not result in lasting after-effects, and you should feel back to normal around 15 minutes after we shut off the gas.

If you’d like to receive sedation dentistry, just ask when you call us to schedule your appointment. Patients from Ft. Worth, Burleson, Crowley, Benbrook, Aledo, and the surrounding Texas communities are welcome to take advantage of sedation dentistry when they’re undergoing exams and procedures from Dr. Cannon. Will this be your first time visiting our practice? Please take a moment to review the information on our new patient page. We can’t wait to help alleviate your anxiety with sedation dentistry treatment!
